Our digitization product, briefly entitled cataloguing system, is built using a modern database structure (framework) of the highest standard. As reference specifications we have used approved standards for building metadata systems, standards for cultural collections and cataloging standards. All system components are properly licensed, which reduces the cost of its acquisition.

Our cataloging system is fully configurable – users can input metadata by their request. This makes it extremely flexible and suitable for implementation in the activity of various types of cultural organizations and institutions - museums, galleries, libraries, archives, municipalities and private collections.

Functionalities

In the digital catalog you can define different languages and different types of lists:

• for interface elements;
• for a drop-down menu with options for content control;
• for controlled dictionaries – suitable for usage when you make descriptive cataloging;
• for objects, events, places, collection, etc.

The software allows the determination of the relationship types between the objects - it creates links between records and each possible connection in the system has its own list of the relationship types. As already mentioned, the cataloging system provides considerable flexibility - so before it starts to function, the required data must be defined. In the cataloging system you can enter and maintain information about the sites and related artists, publishers, authors, etc.

Metadata that can be entered are of a different kind - bibliographic, historical, geographical, multimedia metadata (photos, videos, digital content), etc . This contributes the presentation of the objects as complete cultural objects.

In the system you can create collections of similar objects and there is an option for creation of personal collections. Each object in the system can be associated with one or more exhibitions and the connection between the exhibitions may be specified.

The access to the digital catalog is strictly controlled - the product has administrative and public part that can be used completely independently. The information that will be displayed in the public part can be pre-defined and the administrative part can be integrated into an existing website or application. There are additional options for control over the objects' input. Both parts of the system work with the latest versions of the most popular browsers.

Installation Services

The cataloging system can be installed on our server as well as on a client’s server.

In the first case, the software can be used immediately after its installation; the only requirement is an Internet connection from the user's computer.

In the second case, there are two different approaches:

1. Usage of a pre-packaged virtual machine that can run on powerful server running Windows or Linux operational systems. This machine has to be accessible via public or local network.
2. Installation of a physical machine with an appropriate operational system and components.
